The Business Community (Udruženje poslodavaca) and the Association Save the Small Landlords (Udruženje za zaštitu malih izdavača) are calling on business people, self-employed individuals, workers, farmers and all citizens to join the protest in Zagreb on 10 October. The protest, titled 'Enough is enough' (Dosta je), will take place on 10 October 2026 at 12:00.
The organisers wish to highlight the frequent changes in regulations, rising burdens and administrative barriers. They point out that business people, self-employed individuals, farmers, family farms, landlords, transport operators, hospitality workers and other citizens have been facing these issues for years. Among the issues raised are frequent changes in rules, new burdens, increasing administrative requirements, and decisions made without serious analysis or genuine dialogue with those affected.
At the protest, the organisers will present ten specific demands to the Government of the Republic of Croatia. These include demands for rigorous analysis before the introduction of new burdens, timely notification of changes, proportional obligations and sanctions, and the inclusion of representatives directly affected by the regulations in the decision-making process.
The organisers state that they are gathering the widest possible circle of citizens, associations and professional bodies representing people who work, create, employ, produce and live from their own labour. From the Business Community (UGP) and the Association for the Protection of Small Landlords (UDM), they stress that the protest is not intended solely for business people, but is a call to a wide range of citizens who wish for a Croatia where it is worthwhile to stay, work, invest and create. They invite self-employed individuals, workers, farmers, family farms, landlords, transport operators, hospitality workers, traders, cooperatives, creative professionals, students, retirees and all other interested parties to join them.
The associations are calling for members to join the protest by attending with their members, forwarding the invitation to partners and colleagues, and sharing it on their websites, in newsletters and on social media. The protest is supported by public support, and where possible, financial assistance for its organisation.
The protest will take place under the slogan '10 October. 10 demands to the government. 10/10 for a Croatia where work is not a punishment.' The organisers state: 'Let us not wait for someone else to raise their voice. This time, let us raise it together.' They also state: 'We are not going into the streets against the state. We are going into the streets for a better state. For clear and predictable rules, reasonable and proportional taxes and levies, legal certainty, responsible government and fewer administrative barriers.' They add that they want a relationship with citizens and the economy where those who work and create are partners of the state, not the easiest source of new revenue.
A bank account has been opened for support for the organisation of the protest: IBAN: HR23 2402 0061 1009 7095 4.
