The fire in a residential building occurred on Friday, 31 July, in the settlement of Gojlo in the area of the town of Kutina. Fire brigades were informed of the outbreak of the fire at around 19:45.
The report was recorded as an emergency event requiring a swift response from firefighters to prevent the spread of flames to surrounding buildings.
The roof of the house, owned by a 76-year-old woman, was destroyed. Firefighters from the JVP Kutina unit intervened on the scene and managed to extinguish the fire. Their actions prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the building and to adjacent structures, thereby avoiding greater material damage and potential danger to the population.
Following the extinguishing of the fire, an inspection was carried out at the scene. The inspection involved firefighters as well as a fire safety inspector. Through the joint efforts of experts, the exact causes of the fire incident were established, and an official report on the incident was drawn up based on the established facts.
The investigation revealed that the fire was caused by a fault in the electrical wiring. The inspectors concluded after the inspection that the fault in the electrical system was the sole cause of the fire. The owner of the property was informed of the established circumstances and the cause of the damage.
