Police in Kaštel Novi have fined a 60-year-old man for disturbing the public order and peace. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, when the man organised a private party in the outdoor area in front of his house. During the gathering, guests played music via speakers, resulting in noise that lasted into the early hours.
Local residents and citizens disturbed by the noise reported the issue. Police arrived at the address in Kaštel Novi to investigate the circumstances of the incident. The officers' intervention concluded at 23.40, after they verified the reports of the disturbance.
Following the inspection, police determined that a breach of public order and peace had occurred. The man was penalised for having reasonable grounds to suspect he had committed an offence under Article 13 of the Offences Against Public Order and Peace Act. The penalty was imposed in accordance with prescribed measures for such offences.
