Police officers from the Pag Police Station stopped a car with Zadar registration plates during a traffic check on Monday, 21 September, at 15:30, at the intersection of Zagrebačka and Zadarska streets in Pag. The vehicle was being driven by a 47-year-old Croatian national.
During the check, it was established that the man was driving the vehicle at a time when his driving licence had been temporarily suspended. He was not in possession of other personal documents at the time. A preliminary test for the presence of drugs was conducted, and the 47-year-old tested positive for drug use.
The police stated that the individual was a repeat offender under the Act on Road Safety. The vehicle he was driving was temporarily seized, and he was taken into custody.
Following the legal proceedings, the 47-year-old was found guilty. He was sentenced to 40 days' imprisonment, suspended for one year.
