The incident occurred on Monday evening at the Stella bar in Stobreč, which is located in the area of Split. The location was very busy as Sinisa Vuco was performing in honour of St Lawrence's Day, which resulted in a large number of people gathering in that part of the city.
The cause of the chaos was a 42-year-old guest who, according to available information, caused complete chaos out of the blue. The man, dressed in a white T-shirt, was standing on the bar and threw a glass, which started a series of violent acts directed at staff and other visitors to the premises.
After the glass was thrown, a waiter tried to intervene and warned the man to stop, but this did not stop the attacker. The man began attacking waiters and guests, during which he threw a guest to the floor, kicked him in the stomach, and then hit him three times on the head with his fist. During the attack, the attacker roared at the guests, telling them he would kill them all.
The police intervened to calm the situation. The 42-year-old attacker clashed with the police, which further complicated the intervention. Guests sustained minor injuries during the incident, and the chaos was visible through the scattered furniture in the bar.
Footage from the scene was quickly shared on social media. The video shows people running in panic from the bar, while the interior was in disarray with scattered furniture and crockery. The incident attracted significant public attention due to the violent behaviour in the crowd during the popular musical performance.
