Two table tennis tables have been installed on the grassy area behind the Memorial Hall in Pazin, the City of Pazin announced. The tables are intended for citizens' recreation and are available to everyone.

The installation was carried out as part of a small-scale municipal initiative by the Pazin Local Community. This intervention aims to develop leisure facilities on public land for local residents.

The decision on the location was not made without public input. The location was chosen by residents at a public forum as part of the 'Pazi(n) Budget' project. Thus, a proposal presented at the forum was directly translated into a tangible facility on the ground.

Through the 'Pazi(n) Budget' project, residents directly decide on the expenditure of a portion of the city budget allocated for small-scale municipal interventions and facilities within their local communities. This is, therefore, a model in which citizens themselves direct a share of the budget for minor works in local communities.

No special equipment or reservation is required to play on the newly installed tables. Players simply need to bring their rackets and a ball, and the tables are available to all.

The installation of the two table tennis tables behind the Memorial Hall has completed a cycle from public forum to construction. Residents have thus gained a new outdoor facility in the immediate vicinity of Pazin's centre.
