The City of Slatina and the Slatina Development Agency have signed agreements with the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. The agreements were signed on 7 October, establishing an institutional framework for the development and improvement of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The agreements were signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, Prof. Sunčica Oberman Peterka, and the Mayor of Slatina, Tomo Tomić, MSc.

The signing of the agreements foresees the development of scientific and professional cooperation, the exchange of knowledge and experience, and the linking of the academic community with local and public administration. The aim is to stimulate activities and initiatives that contribute to the economic and social development of the city of Slatina, as well as the better shaping and implementation of development policies at the local level.

The partnership also foresees the possibility of including students from the Faculty of Economics in Osijek through internships in the city of Slatina and the Slatina Development Agency. This will enable students to acquire practical knowledge and experience, as well as direct insight into the operation of local self-government units and the implementation of development activities.

The city of Slatina continuously recognises the importance of cooperation with higher education and scientific institutions. By establishing cooperation, the conditions are created for the exchange of professional and scientific expertise, the development of future joint activities, and the inclusion of new knowledge and competencies in processes of significance to the city of Slatina.

The city of Slatina and the Slatina Development Agency thank the Faculty of Economics in Osijek for the interest shown in the partnership.
