The municipality of Star-in-the-field is holding celebrations for Victory and Thanksgiving Day and the Day of Croatian Defenders, bringing together citizens through a series of cultural events. The programme is structured to link historical memory with cultural expression, with the main part of the celebration taking place in the evening.

The programme is set to begin at 19:00 at Zukva Square in the settlement of Selina. The marching band and majorettes from Veliko Trgovišće will perform, marking a traditional parade. This part of the programme serves as an introduction to the ceremonial parade that will follow shortly after.

The ceremonial parade will set off at 20:00 along Sv. Jurja Street. The procession will move through the centre of the settlement, with its destination being St. Stephen's Square in Star-in-the-field. This procession represents a visible symbol of unity and respect for the defenders, linking different parts of the municipality in a shared celebration.

Prior to the main entertainment, a segment dedicated to remembrance will take place as part of the festivities. The laying of wreaths at the memorial on the new cemetery in Star-in-the-field will precede the concert, paying tribute to the fallen defenders. Additionally, the programme includes the traditional laying of the flag on the 'Vitrenik', a local custom associated with these holidays.

Following the parade and the remembrance ceremony, Ivan 'Ica' Sikiri will perform on the summer stage in Star-in-the-field. His concert will serve as the entertainment portion of the evening, closing the celebration and offering residents the opportunity to socialise after the ceremonial parts of the programme.
