Members of the Association of Volunteers and Veterans of the Homeland War (UDVDR) Donja Dubrava organized a traditional descent along the river Drava. The event took place on Wednesday, 5 August, with the aim of marking important national holidays. The descent served as an opportunity to pay tribute to Croatian veterans and their families on the occasion of Victory and Gratitude Day and the Day of Croatian Veterans.
The event was intended exclusively for Croatian veterans and members of their families, with the association seeking to highlight the significance of their contribution to the defence of the country. During the journey along the old river course, participants had the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the river, as well as celebrate a shared historical moment in a relaxed atmosphere.
Following the completion of the boat trip, the programme continued at the 'Pozoj' ranch. There, participants were able to enjoy a communal meal, providing an opportunity to relax and exchange experiences. The gathering took place in an informal setting, allowing veterans and their families to connect outside of formal structures.
Such meetings play an important role in strengthening the community and preserving the memory of the Homeland War. The organizers demonstrated care for the association's members by offering them the opportunity to rest and socialise in a pleasant environment. The 'Pozoj' ranch provided a suitable venue for the celebration to continue, where guests could relax after the active part of the programme.
