The first unofficial results of the elections for the Split city districts and local committees reveal a series of decisive victories, but also races where the outcome hinged on just a few votes. According to the data, the margins in certain districts were minimal, while in others the lists secured dominant results.
In Spinut, the independent list of Luka Kovač’s Levanta secured 1,018 votes, while the HDZ and DP list received 163 votes. The independent list thus secured almost 80 per cent of the vote, with a difference of 855 votes compared to the HDZ and DP.
In Žrnj, the independent list of Špiro Vlahović won, surpassing the HDZ and DP by 18 votes. In Lučko-Maštan, the two leading lists are separated by just two votes: the list initially identified as SDP received 211 votes, while the HDZ received 209 votes. A total of 420 valid votes were distributed in that polling station, with six ballot papers declared invalid.
In Trstenik, the most votes were received by the coalition list of Centar, SDP, Možemo! and Direkta, led by Zdravko Roje. It secured 444 votes, or 57.22 per cent. The list of HDZ and DP received 251 votes (32.35 per cent), while the list of DOMiNO and partners received 81 votes (10.44 per cent). A total of 776 valid votes were cast among the three lists. According to the unofficial distribution, the coalition and Centar would receive five council mandates, while the list of DOMiNO and partners would not secure a seat in the council. Roje’s list received 193 votes more than the HDZ and DP.
In Mertoj, the HDZ list secured 512 votes, while the competing list, identified in the initial data as Centar, received 403 votes. The margin is 109 votes. The unofficial distribution shows a ratio of four to three in favour of HDZ, which would secure HDZ a majority in the seven-member district council. Of the 915 votes distributed between the two lists, the winning list received approximately 56 per cent, and the opposing list 44 per cent.
In Visoko, HDZ secured all seven seats according to the unofficial calculation. The left-wing coalition and Centar triumphed decisively in Trstenik and Gripa.
