The town of Zlatar will mark the Day of Victory and Thanksgiving and the Day of Croatian Veterans with the lighting of candles and the laying of a wreath at the memorial cross. The commemorative event will take place on Tuesday, 4 August, starting at 14:30.
This will see the town of Zlatar honour the anniversary that is marked across the country at the beginning of August. The Day of Victory and Thanksgiving and the Day of Croatian Veterans is one of the most important dates in the Croatian calendar.
The local celebration will begin with a gathering at the local cemetery, where candles will be lit and a wreath laid at the memorial cross in front of the memorial cross.
The commemoration will continue the following day. On Wednesday, 5 August, the feast will be celebrated with a solemn mass at 11:00 in the church of St Mary of the Snows in Belce.
