The Festa od folklora, a traditional event, was held in Slana, gathering children's folklore groups from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event took place on the Slana promenade, where numerous young performing groups performed. The aim of this event is to preserve and pass on the rich traditional culture to the youngest generations.
The host of the event was the folklore group Mali linđo from Slana. They organised the event, which brought together participants from various parts of the region, emphasising the importance of cooperation and cultural exchange among young people. The event provided an opportunity to showcase different folk customs and dances.
The folklore group from Muć also participated in the Festa od folklora. Their performance contributed to the diversity of the programme, presenting the specifics of local tradition. Participants demonstrated skill and dedication to preserving cultural heritage through their performances.
Also, the folklore group from Posušje performed at the event. Their participation further enriched the event, bringing elements of Bosnian-Herzegovinian folklore tradition. This was an opportunity for mutual acquaintance with different cultural patterns.
The folklore group from Kreševo was also part of this cultural gathering. Their performance contributed to spreading knowledge about the traditions of this area. Participants, together with other groups, created an atmosphere of celebrating cultural diversity.
Folklore groups from Metković and Zaton near Dubrovnik also attended the event. Their performances on the Slana promenade ended successfully, leaving an impression on the audience. Participants showed a high level of preparation and love for folk heritage.
