Miro Ungar will hold a major concert at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in February, marking 70 years in the music industry. Guesting in the Spotlight programme, he announced that excellent guests would appear at the concert, among them colleagues from the Club of the Komedija Theatre's Kontesa, with Josipa Lisac as the main guest.
Ungar began his musical journey in 1957 as a member of the group 4M. In the interview, he reflected on his long career, his family, his former wife Tereza Kesović, and his current wife, Sara. The host mentioned that Sara is 43 years younger than Ungar, but Ungan corrected her, stating that she is 43, not 42.
He spoke of his relationship with Sara with particular care. He emphasised that love is stronger than anything and that they overcome all problems and obstacles together. Sara, he said, is always by his side, helping him in every aspect of life, and is his greatest support and logistics. Without her, he added, he would not have been able to reach this far.
Miro and Sara met at his restaurant in Istria, when Miro was 63 and Sara 21. They married in 2008 in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii. As one of the key reasons for the longevity of the marriage, Ungar cited tolerance.
Ungar was married to Tereza Kesović from 1962 to 1973, and they have a son, Alan. Tereza Kesović studied flute at the Academy of Music. Ungar and Tereza married a year after they met, and their son Alan was born a year later. They later moved to Paris to build their careers.
Ungar has three children. From his marriage to the Bulgarian model Danijela Đulger, he has a daughter, Lana, and a son, Daniel. Lana graduated in textile design in Italy and now works in a design firm, while Daniel is a tennis coach. Alan works in tourism and has previously collaborated with his father on business matters.
