Wine Days, a traditional local event, begins this year with a wine story at the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. Three wine workshops, led by wine experts, will be held there, with tickets available at the Vinart online store.
The first workshop begins at 13:00. At it, the most prominent Plješivica winemakers present one wine each, best representing their winery, personal wine style, and the identity of Plješnica. Participants will thus learn why Plješnica is one of the most recognisable Croatian wine regions when it comes to sparkling wines, but also why it is a region of still wines that have shaped the development of the Croatian wine scene.
A special guest, Suvi Zlatić, multiple Austrian champion sommelier, arrives at the Esplanade. He leads a tasting of the best vintage sparkling wines from Plješnica, his workshop starting at 16:00.
The final workshop is led by Saša Špiranec, starting at 18:00. Špiranec presents a selection of iconic still wines that have shaped the region, thereby rounding off the day-long programme dedicated to the Plješnica wine heritage.
The programme is thus arranged to cover both sparkling and still wines across three sessions, guided by prominent domestic and international wine experts. Interested parties can find all details about the workshops and participation conditions in the Vinart online store.
