Queens Of The Stone Age will perform in Croatia again — the concert is scheduled for 30 June 2027 at the Pula Arena. The return comes two years after they played two consecutive days at the Šalata stadium in Zagreb.
The band is coming to Croatia as part of a tour supporting their new album "Perfetch". On a series of European shows, QOTSA will bring new songs, as well as a setlist packed with hits from their entire career. Their setlists regularly include songs such as "No One Knows", "Go With The Flow", "Little Sister", "My God is the Sun", "Feel Good Hit Of The Summer", "First It Giveth" or "Make It Wit Chu".
The new album "Perfetch" was created in the spirit of the Japanese technique of Kintsugi, and its nine tracks tell of love for family and friends, as well as loves that break or make you. Production is credited to Josh Homme and Michael Shuman. Record Collector described the album as one of the band's career peaks, placing it alongside "Songs For The Deaf", while MOJO rated it as exactly what a rock band with three decades of experience should record.
The single "Run Away From the Mob" is the fourth track revealed from the album and also its closing song. It was originally recorded in 2013 with drum accompaniment by Dave Grohl, and only received its full form this year. The song's lyrics are conceived as a father's final letter to his eldest son. The album was also announced by the singles "Where The Goth Girls At?", "Insignificant Other" and "Easy Street".
Queens Of The Stone Age marked Halloween with special HalloQueen events in Croatia. On the occasion of the release of the album Perfecth, on 31 October they organised gatherings at record shops around the world, and the Croatian audience could participate at five locations: Dallas Music Shop in Rijeka, PDV, Maldoror and BMK Audio in Zagreb, and Corto in Dubrovnik. Visitors had the opportunity to listen to the new album, win exclusive gifts and purchase a special, extremely limited edition of the Perfecth album on picture disc vinyl.
The band consists of Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore. They formed in 1996 on the remnants of the cult stoner band Kyuss, and began their discographic path with their self-titled debut in 1998. On the next four albums — "Rated R", "Songs For The Deaf", "Lullabies To Paralyze" and "Era Vulgaris" — they delivered more rock hits than some bands in their entire careers. Billboard's #1 album "…Like Clockwork" continued the streak, followed by "Villains" and "In Times New Roman…". Alongside "Alive in the Catacombs", there is also the latest album "Perfetch".
