U2 has officially announced its return to major European stadiums in 2027. The schedule for the European leg of The Greatest Show on Earth tour was released on Thursday, 29 October, confirming 12 concerts across seven European cities. The tour follows the release of a new studio album, Carnaval De Luz.

The European tour begins on 26 April 2027 in Stockholm, where the band will perform on 26 and 28 April at Strawberry Arena. After Stockholm come Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, London, Berlin and Milan. In Paris, concerts are scheduled for 5 and 8 May at Stade de France; in Lisbon on 27 May at Estádio da Luz; and in Amsterdam on 5 and 6 June at Johan Cruijff Arena. London will host U2 on 18 and 19 June at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Berlin on 30 June at Olympiastadion, and the final European shows are scheduled for Milan on 5 and 6 July at San Siro. The Milan concerts will be the closest to Croatian audiences.

At all announced European concerts, British band Wolf Alice will appear as special guests. Organisers have announced that concert dates for Spain will be announced soon, and additional North American performances are expected over the coming weeks. The first announced concerts in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina sold out, prompting the band to add new dates in Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires.

Presale for the European concerts begins on 2 November for selected members of the official U2 fan club. General ticket sales begin on Friday, 6 November 2026, at 10:00 local time at each concert venue. Detailed ticket information and individual concert details are available at www.u2.com.

The tour promotes U2's new, 16th studio album titled Carnaval De Luz, scheduled for release on 13 November 2026. The band has already released the single The Greatest Show on Earth, from which the tour takes its name. The song was produced in collaboration with Brian Eno, and the music video was directed by Anton Corbijn.

These will be U2's first stadium concerts since the conclusion of The Joshua Tree tour in December 2019. In the meantime, the band played 40 concerts at the Sphere venue in Las Vegas, and in September celebrated its 50th anniversary. Band members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. marked the occasion with a special performance at their former school, Mount Temple Comprehensive, in Dublin, and surprised passers-by with a performance on Dublin's Grafton Street.

The world tour begins on 23 February 2027 in Mexico City. After the Latin American and European concerts, the tour will continue on other continents, with plans extending into 2028, when the band is expected to conclude the tour in its native Ireland. The Edge has confirmed that details of the final leg are still being worked out and stressed that the finale will be in Ireland. It is not known whether a concert closer to Croatia will be announced during the expansion of the tour.
