MRK Čakovec handballers face another away fixture in the Paket24 Premier League on Saturday, 31 October. In the eighth round of Group B, the Čakovec team travels to Metković, where they will measure their strength against home side RK Metković-Zalmo from 17:00.

Coach Josip Borković warns that the opponent, along with Gorica and Sesvete, has emerged as one of the main candidates for a top-three finish. The long journey to southern Croatia presents an additional challenge, further complicating preparation and the match itself.

Borković does not hide his dissatisfaction with his team's recent form and results, but emphasises that there is no room for giving up. "We have no choice but to give our all in every upcoming match and try to secure points. We are aware that it will be very difficult in Metković, but we are entitled to hope that a positive result is possible," Borković said.

Player Tin Vrbanec highlights the quality of the hosts, but believes that the Čakovec players can match the favoured opponent with the right approach. "We face a tough task in Metković, but we believe that with the right approach and fighting spirit, we can achieve a positive result," Vrbanec stated.

In the first meeting of the season, played in Čakovec, the home side won a narrow victory. The match will be played at the Metković City Sports Hall, starting at 17:00, and a broadcast of the encounter will be available on the Croatian Handball Federation's YouTube channel.
