Handball players of MRK Čakovec continue the championship season in front of a home crowd. In the 3rd round of the Premijer liga, they will face RK Sisak in the Graditeljska Hall, with the match starting at 19:00.
The Čakovec players started the new season successfully, winning on both home and away grounds, so they are looking to continue the positive start to the season. On Saturday, they face a new challenge, and the support from the stands is expected to play an important role in the demanding match.
Sisak, as a returnee to the highest level, arrives in Čakovec eager to prove themselves. This is a new premier league team that suffered a defeat against Gorica in the first two rounds and won against Trogir, with the victory over the previous season's participant in the Liga for the Champions standing out in particular.
The coach Borković stated that his team is facing Sisak, "a team that has shown in the first two rounds that it must be taken seriously." He also pointed out that Sisak has been strengthened compared to last season.
"We will try to prepare maximally for the challenge we are facing and, on this occasion, we are asking our loyal fans to help us remain unbeaten, i.e. to win new points," said Borković.
In addition to the handball match, a programme has been prepared for the spectators. The audience can expect a fire show, which will be held during the presentation of the players, the studio Korak will perform, and the musical atmosphere will be ensured by the DJ.
