The day before the 95th Mr Regatta, news arrived that over 200 boats had registered, for the first time in five years. The final number of those who will cross the starting line on Saturday at 11:00 will be known after registration, and the more than 200 entries do not necessarily mean the same number of boats at the starting line.

The joint start of the 95th Mr Regatta is scheduled for 11:00, with the yachts setting off on the traditional route of Split – Mr Island – Split. After the race, the programme continues on the platform of the JK Labus with the awarding of trophies, socialising and a concert by the group Mjesni Odbor. A live performance of the new anthem "Mr Regatta, Mother of All Regattas" will also take place, with good local cuisine once again being part of the Mr Regatta weekend.

At the JK Labus, the recent competition in preparing Dalmatian mackerel was discussed, in which professional and amateur chefs competed. The victory went to Željko Buotić Leše, a well-known local cook from Kaštela and a member of the Local Cooks' Association, whose stuffed peppers won the judges' approval. The second place went to the sailor Nikša Barić with his cuttlefish and prawns, while the third place went to Damir Šimunović with his cuttlefish stew. The judging was secret.

The top three were faced with another challenge: they had to prepare black risotto in front of the audience. Even after the final, the order did not change — Buotić Leše remained first, Bari second, and Šimunović third. After the announcement, visitors were able to taste the prepared dishes.

The president of the jury was chef Mario Omrčen, owner of the Bome restaurant. The dishes were judged by the famous Croatian basketball and sailing player, Željko Jerkov, the president of the cluster, Zoran Radnić, the president of the 95th Mr Regatta, Dominik Perković, and the former water polo player, now living in Switzerland, Tonko Bezina. The organization of the competition was led by Labus member, Saša Boban, while the programme was moderated by the director of the Mr Regatta, Damir Skelin.

Great interest is also being shown in the 82nd Viška Regatta, which will take place from 16 to 18 October. So far, the number of entries for the regatta is approaching 120, and the organizers have decided to keep the entries open for the next week, with the possibility of further expanding the list of participants according to the available capacity.
