Brod-Posavina County will distribute nearly 450,000 euros in subsidies to family farms for the purchase of machinery and equipment for primary agricultural production in 2026.
The decision on the distribution of subsidies for low-value projects was made by County President Danijel Marušić on 16 July, in line with the proposal of the committee for the implementation of subsidies for small values in agriculture. Subsidies are granted on the basis of a public call previously issued by the county.
The right to a subsidy under measure 1.8 was obtained by 328 family farms from the county. A total of 449,997.15 euros was distributed, which is an average of 1,370 euros per farm.
The funds are flowing into the county, which, according to new data from the State Institute of Statistics on migration in 2025, is among the four Croatian counties with a negative migration balance. From Brod-Posavina, more residents moved to other parts of Croatia last year, along with those from Vukovar-Syrmia.
