The main tourist season has ended, but Krk island offers numerous opportunities for excursions, stays in nature and exploring local gastronomy during the autumn months. The Krk Island Tourist Board (Turistička zajednica otoka Krka) has presented its autumn offer as part of the Krk Made project, which brings together restaurants, inns (konobe), wineries, family farms and other producers of island products.

According to information from the Krk Island Tourist Board, a total of 23 venues and producers included in the Krk Made project are open or available during November 2026. These include restaurants, inns, wineries, shops and family farms. Some venues continue to operate during November, contributing to the availability of tourist and hospitality facilities outside the summer months.

Autumn months on Krk bring significantly fewer crowds than during the summer, and weather conditions are often suitable for walking, cycling and exploring island locations. Numerous hiking and cycling trails pass through olive groves, vineyards and karst landscapes, while old island settlements offer the opportunity to learn about cultural and historical heritage. Excursions can be combined with visits to local producers, wineries or hospitality venues that continue to operate after the end of the season.

In the area of the town of Krk, the listed venues include Volsonis, Mesnica – Market Žužić, the Kusshh shop, and the family farms (OPG) of Magriž, Tohoraj and David Mrakovčić. In Milohnići, Konoba Pud Brest operates, while in Pinežici, products from Vincent OPG Vinko are among the offerings. In Malinska and its surroundings, Vila Rova, Trattoria Gatto Nero, Konoba Bracera and Konoba Pod Murvu are open, as are OPG Lea in the Malinska – Dubašnica area and OPG Utla in Vantačići. In Vrbnik, the list includes Restoran Gospoja, Estate Winery Katunar and OPG Kuća vina Ivan Katunar; in Draga Bašćanska, Restoran Mošuna and OPG Orlić; in Baška, OPG Dario Kamber and Vinoteka Bodulier; in Punta, Restoran Marina; and in Omišalj, Restoran Maris in the Omišalj camp.

Opening hours vary among individual venues. Vila Rova in Malinska operates until 22 November, except on Wednesdays, while Restoran Maris in Omišalj is open until 15 November. Konoba Bracera operates from Thursday to Sunday, Konoba Pod Murvu from Friday to Sunday and by arrangement, and Trattoria Gatto Nero is closed on Tuesdays. Some family farms accept visitors only by prior appointment.

The Krk Island Tourist Board notes that opening hours may vary and recommends checking availability before visiting, especially for smaller producers and venues that operate on reduced hours during autumn. The Krk Made project is focused on presenting local products and the island's gastronomic offer, and Krk remains interesting for day trips and short weekend stays, particularly for visitors who wish to avoid summer crowds.

Krk prosciutto, sheep's cheeses, olive oil, homemade pasta and Vrbnik Žlahtina wine are among the most recognisable parts of the local gastronomic tradition. Šurlice and makaruni are prepared in various combinations, with meat, seafood and other ingredients, while the traditional cuisine often uses seasonal products. The island's offer also includes thyme honey, fig products, homemade liqueurs, rakija and fruit preserves.

Olive growing is an important part of the island's agriculture, and among the varieties cultivated on Krk, Plominka, Drobnica, Rosulja and Oblica stand out. Autumn is the period for olive harvesting and the production of new olive oil. Viticulture has a long tradition on Krk, particularly in the Vrbnik area, known for the production of Žlahtina, and visits to wineries and wine tasting are part of the offer available during autumn as well. Some producers allow direct purchase of their products.
