Istarska banka has announced on its official website the appointment of Tomislav Jeletić as president of the board. The decision was made by the bank’s supervisory board at a meeting held on 25 September 2026.
The term of Tomislav Jeletić is for five years, starting on 28 February 2027. The decision to appoint the president takes effect upon the issuance of consent by the Croatian National Bank for the performance of the role of president of the bank. Jeletić has experience working in IKB and its management.
At the end of February, Miro Dodić will step down from the position of the bank’s top executive after 29 years, having led the bank since 1993. The change in leadership comes in the same year that the bank marks 70 years of existence.
Under Dodić’s leadership, the bank’s assets grew from 69 million euros to nearly 787 million euros by the end of 2024. The bank significantly expanded its operations and assets, and under Dodić, it became a landmark in the local economy. He oversaw a period of stable and successful operations, shaping the success of Istarska banka through his long-term dedication, professionalism, and vision.
Dodi has frequently emphasized the importance of customer, employee, and shareholder satisfaction, adapting to modern trends, with a particular focus on the development of digital solutions. Outside of banking, he served as a representative in the Croatian Parliament, was a member of the Croatian Tourist Board, and was the first chair of the Croatian Tourist Board. He was actively involved in the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the Pula Chamber of Economy, and the economic council of FET in Pula.
He received the international award 'RDA Touristik-Preis 1988' and the '30 April' award from the City of Poreč, and in 2004 was named Banker of the Year in Croatia. He also received a special certificate from the Croatian Chamber of Economy in 2026 and an international recognition for lifetime achievement in business, 'Creators of the Century', presented to him in 2025.
