A building owned by the City of Dubrovnik has been restored at 1a Uz Tabor Street for the needs of Sanita Dubrovnik. By fitting the space, appropriate conditions for work and rest have been provided to employees working on loading, unloading, and supply operations within the historic core, in line with the pret loading zone at Ploce.
The ground-floor building was structurally repaired and entirely adapted within its existing footprint. In the restored building, workspaces for Sanita staff have been created, including a locker room, a common room, and a store.
In addition to structural repairs, the works included the roof and installations. Heating, cooling, ventilation, and fire protection systems were installed.
The client for the works, valued at 214,184.19 euros including VAT, was Sanita Dubrovnik, while the contractor was the company Kont.
The restoration of the building follows the fitting of the loading zone at Ploce. In the first phase, completed in 2022, the receiving and transshipment area next to the eastern entrance to the historic core was fitted. At that time, waste and previous barriers were removed, asphalt was renewed, and the area was landscaped.
The project involves a more comprehensive solution for the loading and unloading of goods and related facilities.
