The local branch of the Zagreb County Health Centre in Ivanić-Grad has completed an extensive energy renovation valued at €1,822,846.
The building, which has moved from energy class E to class B, is expected to see energy savings for heating of more than 80 per cent.
The National Recovery and Resilience Plan provided €1.307,645 in non-repayable funds for the project, while the Zagreb County administration contributed €515,200 from its own budget.
The works included a new thermal envelope for the building, replacement of the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, and the installation of more efficient lighting. A 20-kilowatt photovoltaic system was also installed on the building.
The renovated branch was visited by the Deputy County Prefect of Zag County, Ervin Kolarec, and the Deputy Mayor of Ivanić-Grad, Tomislav Cuvaj. Kolarec highlighted that this is the fourth fully renovated branch of the county health centre, following those in Jastrebarsko, Vrbovec, and Zaprešić. He added that the renovation of the health centre in Samobor is also nearing completion, with a contract recently signed for the branch in Velika Gorica.
The director of the Zag County Health Centre, Večeslav Bergman, noted that the institution currently operates across 58 locations. He expressed hope that, following the major branches, investment would also be directed toward smaller clinics throughout the county. In his view, the renovation provides greater comfort for patients and improved working conditions for healthcare staff.
The project also increased accessibility for people with disabilities and reduced mobility, with a new system installed in front of the entrance for parking and securing bicycles. The renovated branch is used by the residents of Ivanić-Grad, Kloštar Ivanić, and Križ.
