The break-in occurred on Saturday, 25 July, during the morning hours in Mužilovčica, which is located in the Sisak area. An unknown perpetrator managed to find the original key to the entrance door, which allowed unauthorised entry without visible signs of violence or broken glass.

Inside the house, the perpetrator accessed the property of the 47-year-old owner of the flat. During the break-in, money and jewellery were stolen, the exact value of which is not currently stated. The actions were carried out in such a way that the owner only discovered the damage after returning to the location or noticing the missing items.

The injured woman reacted immediately and filed a criminal complaint against the unknown perpetrator. The complaint was submitted on suspicion of the criminal offence of serious theft, a qualification applied when the value of the stolen property is high or when the circumstances of the commission are particularly serious.

Police officers conducted a scene examination on site and took all available measures and actions to identify the perpetrator. The thief is still wanted, and the investigation is ongoing to determine all the circumstances of the event and potentially recover the stolen property.
