The National Security and Coordination Police Administration (PNUSKOK) conducted a detailed search of Željko Kerum's house in Meje, Split. The operation lasted almost two hours and was carried out in connection with the latest scandal and the arrest of the former Split mayor, which took place last night.
Investigators brought Kerum in the back seat of two vehicles around 11 o'clock. Upon arrival, investigators entered the property's garage and closed the doors, initiating the process of searching the assets.
Kerum exited the property around 13:00. The former mayor left the house with handcuffs on his wrists, confirming that the arrest remained in force during today's police operation.
After leaving the house, Kerum sat in an official vehicle. Saša Horvat, a close associate of the former mayor, assisted in organising the vehicle's exit from the location. Horvat also directed traffic in front of the house to facilitate an unimpeded departure.
Numerous journalists and cameramen gathered outside Kerum's home during the search. Journalists attempted to obtain a statement from Željko Kerum, but none managed to make contact with the detainee.
Kerum was driven away from the location in an official vehicle, while press teams remained without answers regarding the details of the scandal and the reasons for the arrest.
