Police are conducting an investigation into a graffiti artist who, in the night from Sunday to Monday, sprayed graffiti on a low-floor train. The perpetrator is at large, and the incident has caused material damage to the value of several thousand euros to the relevant entity.
In addition to this case, the Karlovac Police Directorate has reported on planned traffic operations. On 13 October, a heightened police presence will be implemented in the area covered by the directorate. The aim of the operation is to prevent and penalise driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and the failure to use seatbelts, as well as other traffic offences.
During the heightened checks, drivers of passenger vehicles, mopeds, and motorcycles will be monitored, as will drivers of all other vehicle categories. The police aim to increase road safety and reduce the number of traffic offences, which are frequent causes of road accidents.
In the past 24 hours, two criminal offences and two traffic accidents were recorded in the area of the Karlovac Police Directorate. In one of the accidents, there were injured persons, specifically minor injuries, while the other accident involved only material damage.
The police have urged the public to exercise responsible behaviour in traffic and reminded citizens that the heightened controls will continue. The investigation into the graffiti on the train in Ogulin is ongoing.
