The young ensemble of Max theatre achieved a notable success at the 7th Central Croatia Dramatic Amateurism Festival, where it received four key awards. The festival was organised by the Community of Amateur Cultural and Artistic Associations of Krapina-Zagorje County (ZAKUU KZŽ) in co-organisation with the KUD Konjščina cultural and artistic society.

The central award, for the best production overall, went to the play "Zvijer". This confirmed the quality of Max theatre's stage expression in competition with numerous amateur groups.

In addition to the main prize, the professional jury recognised individual contributions. The award for best direction went to Max Kostelac, while the prize for best lead male role was given to Luka Fabek. An award for best costume design was also presented, completing the series of accolades the ensemble took home from the festival.

The Central Croatia Dramatic Amateurism Festival aims to connect theatre groups, exchange experiences and present amateur theatrical creation. This year, theatre groups from eight counties performed: Sisak-Moslavina, Krapina-Zagorje, Međimurje, Zagreb, Bjelovar-Bilogora, Koprivnica-Križevci, Varaždin and Karlovac.

This result for the young Max theatre ensemble further confirms the importance of the festival as a place where amateur theatrical creation is presented and evaluated, while the participation of groups from as many as eight counties testifies to the breadth and vitality of the amateur theatre scene in Central Croatia.
