Marko Bojković won the FNC lightweight belt at the FNC 34 event in Skopje, knocking out Lom-Ali Eskiev in the first round. The fight ended after just 48 seconds, with Bojković recording his 11th victory in his professional MMA career to become champion.
Eskiev landed a calf kick at the start, forcing Bojković to guard against that strike. However, Eskiev settled down afterwards and did not continue throwing leg kicks, so Bojković stood cautiously in his guard, waiting for an opportunity. In one exchange, Eskiev hit the Serbian fighter, but Bojković countered with a cross, dropping Eskiev to a knockdown and finishing the fight. Bojković struck Eskiev with a right cross, sending him to the canvas, and landed one more blow to end the job before referee Saša Zorić stopped the contest. The fight concluded to the delight of the Macedonian audience.
After the victory, Bojković thanked the crowd: "Thank you to everyone above all, I am glad I got to fight here." He also reflected on the difficult journey: "It was a hard path, my family and team know what we have all been through." He revealed issues with his knee: "I have no ligaments, my knee has been stiff for five fights, but I fought through it." He added that "predictions were that I would not manage to prepare for this fight," but with the help of his team and doctor Marko Dimitrijević, he managed to preserve his knee.
Bojković also touched on motivation and his attitude towards the region. "They wanted to make people hate me in my country Serbia, but they failed. I will always fight for my country," he said, adding: "And for the region, Croats, Bosnians, Macedonians, Serbs, Montenegrins, Slovenes, we are all brothers." He specifically highlighted Ivan Đorđević: "Icko, Ivan Đorđević is my second father, the motivation was for him. I said I would give him the belt first." He also stated that "everyone is with me after defeats and after victories" and that "whatever happens in your life, do not turn away from close people who have been with you from the start." Regarding the future, he said: "We will see when I fight again, FNC is my home."
Bojković is 25 years old and has built his entire MMA career in FNC. In 2021, he won the Armageddon tournament in the lightweight category, intended for young prospects. In the first round, he defeated Žiga Mikulana, in the semi-finals he beat Croatian fighter Luka Milidragović, and in the final, Croatian Patrik Čelić. He became known for his trash talk and is quite disliked by part of the regional MMA community. He stringed together victories until the FNC 23 event in Belgrade last year, where Miloš Janičić knocked him out in the second round in one of the biggest fights in the promotion's history. After that, he lost to Donovan Desmea, but returned with two victories against Ivan Vulčin and Piotr Niedzielski, earning a shot at the belt. He is now champion and has crowned his career.
