On Saturday, 22 August, the traditional second bocce tournament was held at the bocce courts in Perušić Benkovački. The event brought together eight teams, with the main focus on the competition's finale, which produced clear winners in every category.
In the final match, billed as the strongest encounter of the tournament, the hosts from BK Perušić Benkovački faced off against the team from BK Velebit Benkovac. The result was decisive, with a 13:5 victory for the home players, securing them first place and the winner's trophy. Second place went to the BK Velebit Benkovac team.
In the battle for the bronze medal, BK Sv. Juraj Raštević met BK Lišane Ostrovičke. The Sv. Juraj team proved more successful, winning 13:7 and securing third place. Fourth place was taken by the BK Lišane Ostrovičke team. All participating teams were awarded medals or certificates of appreciation, depending on their final ranking.
The tournament was officially opened by Ante Pešut, president of BK Perušić Benkovački, in the presence of deputy president Robi Ljutić. The competition was officiated by referee Davor Klarić, and the event attracted around 100 spectators who enjoyed the bocce duels.
Following the conclusion of the competitive portion, participants socialised over grilled food. Traditionally, everyone enjoyed roasted lamb, marking a successful end to this year's edition of the tournament.
