Primorje EPP were presented to the public at the sun-drenched poolside at Kantrida, where the local team's new iteration was revealed. Among those applauding the new line-up were Predrag Sloboda and Zoran Roje.

The local side began the championship with a victory over KPK on Korčula. On Saturday at 7pm, Primorje EPP will host Solaris.

The team started the competition with a refreshed line-up and new captain, Luka Babić. The cap for the local team is worn by Len Dujmić, Marko Doknić, Ivano Sudulić, Ivan Šurbek, Antonio Vukojević, Ivan Vulković, Matija Banić Čanč, Ene Potočnik, Patrick John Duggan, Patrik Turk, Borna Margitić, Frane Vlah, Frane Tiškivski, Vid Nikl, Grga Kunić, Barto Šmoj, Matija Ćurić and Frane Grčević. This squad is led in the new season by long-serving coach Igor Hinić and his right-hand man, Boban Voštić, while the club president is Samir Barać, the most decorated local athlete.

Coach Igor Hinić stated that he would not enter any match as the favourite, noting that he would face difficulties in each game. He emphasised that the team, in which 14 players are playing for the first time in serious water polo, should not be subject to significant result-oriented imperatives.

The head of the Sports Association, Dorotea Pešić Buk, stated that she was pleased that more and more young people were training in water polo. Sonja Šišić, the head of the Department for Culture, Sport and Technical Culture, highlighted that water polo is the most decorated sport in Rijeka.
