Croatian state-owned company INA has introduced a temporary limit of 300 litres per transaction. This measure applies across the Republic of Croatia, with the aim of preserving supply continuity and preventing potential disruptions to the market.
An exception to this rule applies to filling stations located alongside motorways, where the restriction will not apply. According to unofficial information, the measure will not apply to INA’s stations in marinas. At locations in Zagreb, including INA and Petrol filling stations, drivers were met with notices of the new limit in the afternoon.
The reasons for this decision lie in the increased demand following the tourist season and the growing uncertainty on international energy markets. INA has taken this measure to ensure that fuel is available to the greatest number of customers and to achieve an even distribution of resources.
The refinery in Rijeka continues to operate stably and continuously, producing sufficient quantities of petrol, diesel, and jet fuel. INA states that it holds sufficient reserves to supply the market under normal operating conditions, which allows for the smooth functioning of the supply chain.
The company is actively monitoring the development of the situation on international energy markets and the movement of demand at its retail locations. Based on these data, INA will adjust its retail policy and operational measures to the current circumstances to ensure the stability of supply.
