The development project covers the areas of Pakrac, Lipik and Požega, with the total amount of eligible costs for the project being around €3.3 million. Anja Baghari, state secretary in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy Transition, handed over the agreement at Donji Miholjac, on the occasion of the meeting of the Council for Slavonia, Baranja and Srem, with the mayor of Pakrac receiving it on behalf of the town.
The agreement is one of eight approved for the co-financing of projects in the field of water management, environmental protection and climate. The agreements are worth a total of €17.5 million, of which €12.3 million relates to EU grants. The largest share, at €13.7 million and €10 million in grants, falls to water management projects.
Of the total value of the project for Pakrac, Lipik and Požega, 80 per cent, or just over €2.5 million, will be co-financed from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The remaining 20 per cent, or €661,611.93 excluding VAT, will be secured according to the following distribution: Hrvatske Vode 50 per cent (€330,805.96), the City of Požega (€53,851.67), the City of Pakrac (€36,281.98) and the City of Lipič.
In the settlement of Omanac, the construction of water supply pipelines with a total length of 1,265 metres will be funded. The project will reduce dependence on private wells, increase the security of supply and fire protection, improve the local standard and quality of life, and create the preconditions for the further development of the settlement.
In Filipovci, work is planned on the construction of a pressure water supply pipeline 172 metres long, which will pass under the railway line and the state road, and above the Pakra river. A bridge will be built for this purpose, and the connection of the water supply network of the settlement of Filipovci to the transport pipeline Pakrac-Lipič will be carried out.
In Marin Selo, more than 3.5 kilometers of gravity pipeline, 346 meters of pressure pipeline, a pumping station and a UPV will be built. In the settlement of Komuš, a main water supply pipeline with a total length of 2.8 kilometers, a secondary water supply network with a total length of 1,166 meters, a fire protection network with 10 hydrants, and one prefabricated pumping station will be built.
