The City of Dubrovnik has published additional information regarding the financing of services at the Ragusa Centre for the Elderly, which is in the final phase of preparations for opening. Final works and space preparation are underway, and expressions of interest for accommodation are being accepted until 18 November.
The actual cost of providing the service is between €2,704 and €3,200 per month, depending on the user's needs. Of the total expenses, the City of Dubrovnik covers 48.7 per cent, the Ministry contributes 16.4 per cent, while users pay 34.9 per cent of the costs.
For users eligible for a city subsidy, accommodation prices range from €700 to €1,140 per month, depending on the user category and room type. Other accommodation prices range from €1,000 to €1,550 per month. Day care costs €400 per month, and half-day care costs €250 per month.
For users residing in the City of Dubrovnik area, accommodation prices range from €700 to €1,140 per month, depending on the user category and room type. For users not residing in the city area, prices range from €1,000 to €1,550 per month.
Once the procedure is completed, more specific data on citizens' needs will be available, on the basis of which the hiring schedule and organisation of the Centre's work will be planned. This is the city's largest investment in elderly care since 1971, when the last large home for the elderly was built.
The new Centre will have 205 accommodation places, provide day care services for 75 people, and home assistance for an additional 410 users.
