The Koprivnica Community of Technical Culture marked the 80th anniversary of Croatian technical culture. On this occasion, it opened its premises and organised an educational and demonstrative programme for children, young people and citizens.
The programme was visited by Koprivnica mayor Mišel Jakšić and the head of the Administrative Department for Social Activities, Petra Rožmarić. President Nedjeljko Crljen guided them through workshops and activities in the courtyard and the Community's rooms. They familiarised themselves with the work of the member associations.
Workshop participants demonstrated skills in electronics, model making, modelling, 3D printing and robotics. Associations and clubs also presented their equipment. The Šoderica Diving Club displayed diving gear, the Koprivnica Radio Club showed radio equipment, and the Kampus Kite Club exhibited flying paraphernalia.
Jakšić said it was a great thing to see the large turnout of children and young people who are entering the world of science and technology through play and practical work. He assessed that the Community's work is important for the city's educational and social standards. He praised the decades of effort by volunteers and mentors.
Crljen thanked the city for its continuous support. He emphasised that marking this anniversary is also the best promotion of technical creativity and extracurricular activities that offer children concrete knowledge for the future.
