On Saturday, 19 December 2026, the jubilee 15th Humanitarian Christmas Run Osijek will be held at Kopik. The event, organised for the 15th consecutive year by the Zdravo trčanje (Healthy Running) Association, is scheduled to start at 15:00.
Participants will be able to choose between two courses – a shorter 4.2-kilometre and a longer 10-kilometre route. The entire amount collected from donations will be directed to two associations: Cerebro Osijek and the Mandicina association. Half of the collected amount will be paid to the Mandicina association, while the other half will be designated for Cerebro Osijek.
Cerebro Osijek was established with the aim of primary and secondary prevention of stroke, as well as reducing cerebrovascular and other diseases of the circulatory system. The Mandicina association, meanwhile, brings together volunteers and cat lovers from the Osijek area. Its members daily care for abandoned and neglected cats – feeding them, helping them, ensuring treatment and castration, finding them homes or returning them to safe feeding stations.
The race organiser, the Zdravo trčanje Association, has been organising the Running League in Osijek since 2012, where pets are also welcome. This year’s humanitarian run will also feature participation from well-known athletes and public figures.
During the run, Father Christmas is expected to hand out sweets along the route, and a photo opportunity with Father Christmas is organised after the race.
