The new iPhone 18 Pro Max charges faster than any other Apple device, independent tests have shown, confirming the claims made by Apple at the device's launch. The data was posted on X by leaker and analyst Ice Universe.
According to the measurements, the iPhone 18 Pro Max reaches 50 per cent battery in around 15 minutes. After 10 minutes, the device reaches 34 per cent, and 100 per cent charge is indicated after 55 minutes. The actual charging process, however, only concludes after approximately 76 minutes, meaning that the display of a full charge does not correspond to the moment the battery is fully charged.
The charging power of the iPhone 18 Pro Max reaches 52 W, with the battery having a capacity of 5,400 mAh. This represents an increase in charging speed, an area in which Apple has lagged behind the majority of Android competitors.
For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, in earlier tests, reached 38 per cent of battery after 15 minutes, with 100 per cent indicated after 72 minutes. The maximum power recorded for the iPhone 17 Pro Max was around 35 W, with a smaller battery capacity than the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The new data confirms that Apple has increased both charging power and battery capacity, with the result being noticeably faster charging from 0 to 50 per cent compared to the previous generation.
