Opel is preparing a new concept, the Opel STX, which according to the company’s announcements redefines the estate style. The concept also previews a new generation of the Astra Sports Tourer.
Opel has released the first images of the vehicle, which reveal precision and a great attention to detail in the STX concept. The published photographs also hint at the next step in the development of the Opel Vision, as well as the estate vision the company wishes to present to the public.
Opel’s chief executive, Florian Huettl, stated that this is a continuation of a long tradition. “We were pioneers of the estate in Europe as far back as the 1950s,” said Huettl. He added that the STS concept demonstrates their vision of the future of this body style.
According to him, the STS represents the next step in the ‘Bold & Pure’ design philosophy. “With the STS concept, we are showing our vision of the future of this body style and presenting the next step in our ‘Bold & Pure’ design philosophy,” Huettl said.
Details of the vehicle are not yet fully known. Huettstated that the public will soon learn more. “We will reveal more details soon – so stay with us,” the chief executive concluded.
