Marijo Bura closed his successful restaurant after nine years of operation. Instead of continuing in the hospitality sector, he has chosen to focus on producing homemade pasta and gnocchi, as reported by Slobodna Dalmacija.
As he could not find a suitable business premises for his vision, Bura demolished the newly renovated apartment to convert it into a production facility. The apartment had been renovated a year and a half ago, was functional, and generated income, yet Bura chose to sacrifice it for a new business venture.
Today, he produces his own branded pasta and gnocchi, with daily output reaching up to 15 kg. Although he has been operating for less than three months, the products are already being distributed along the coast. Bura has four shops and four to five restaurants offering his products.
Fresh and high-quality ingredients form the basis of Marijo’s recipes, which include green and black skrijepi (hand-rolled pasta) and Dalmatian gnocchi. Each piece is handled by Marijo’s own hands, and the small factory produces ‘Dalmatian Gnocci No. 1’ and ‘White Skripi’.
