In Kutina, on Friday, 25 September, at around 23:10, a traffic accident with material damage occurred. The accident was caused by a 40-year-old driver who, under the influence of alcohol at 2.5 per mille, was driving a lorry with Zagreb registration plates.
According to police data, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed on a bend. The lorry left the roadway and collided with a car registered in Kutina, which was parked on the driveway, the owner of which was a 38-year-old woman.
The driver was arrested and brought before the competent municipal court following a charge. The police proposed a sentence of 30 days' imprisonment and a fine of 260 euros.
The court found the driver guilty and imposed a fine of 1,760 euros. In addition to the fine, the driver was issued a ban on driving motor vehicles of category B for a period of three months.
The police reported that the incident was a traffic accident with material damage, and the case was concluded at court with the imposition of a fine and a protective measure.
