Gramophone records are once again the focal point in front of the renovated Krešimir Švarc Cultural Centre. Visitors can view an exhibition as part of the 33rd Galović Autumn, a festival dedicated to the literary legacy of Fran Galović.

The programme began with a Book and Vinyl Fair held outdoors in front of the cultural centre. Organisers note that this year’s Galović Autumn is designed as a day-long gathering of literature, film, visual art, and music, with the aim of restoring greater visibility to the event and bringing it closer to the public.

A picture book, My Cultural Adventure in Domoljub, by Elizabeta Milanović Glavica and illustrated by Bojana Dujmović, will be presented at the cultural centre. At 10:00, a meeting with author Sanja Polak, known for her books on Paulina, is scheduled. Following the discussion, the programme moves to the Velebit Cinema, where the film Pauline’s Diary will be screened from 11:00.

The afternoon session begins at 15:30 with a workshop titled When Words Become Images, aimed at secondary school students and led by Iva Stanko. At 17:00, a literary dialogue with Igor Beš is scheduled, the recipient of the 2023 Fran Galović Prize for his novel Flipping Through Cabbage.

The central part of the festival begins at 18:00 with the award ceremony for the Little Galović and Fran Galović prizes. The day will conclude with a performance by the classical guitar quartet KvaTeta.
