Teatar od soli is premiering its stage-performance programme, “Between Inside – Outside”, to the public. The performance will take place on Saturday, 7 November 2026, at 10:00 at the Preko Municipality Cultural Centre, located at Magazinska 9.

The production is the result of six months of joint creation, writing and improvisation with members of the drama group at Ugljan Psychiatric Hospital. The process did not begin with a finished text or pre-assigned roles; instead, it was based on the participants' ideas, experiences, notes, conversations and improvisations. Patients are thus not merely performers but also authors of the material, which the public will see for the first time outside an institutional setting.

Ana Dalbello, a theatre scholar and the artistic director of Teatar od soli, which operates on the island of Pašman, is leading the dramaturgical shaping of the process. The collaboration between Teatar od soli and Ugljan Psychiatric Hospital has been ongoing since 2022.

The programme will be followed by the exhibition “Between Words, Imprints, Echoes”, which features photographic records of the process and fragments of the performance material. The photographs are by Ana Marija Marinov and Jan Zalović.

Admission is free. The stage-performance programme “Between Inside – Outside” is realised with financial support from the “Kultura nova” Foundation and in cooperation with Ugljan Psychiatric Hospital, while the exhibition “Between Words, Imprints, Echoes” is realised with programme support from the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, as well as logistical support from the Preko Municipality, the Preko Municipality Cultural Centre and the Zadar County.
