The Municipality of Dugi Rat has officially amended the terms of the Public Call for obtaining the right to a financial allowance intended for the purchase of exercise books and other school supplies. This measure is aimed at supporting families in preparing for the upcoming school year, with changes primarily concerning administrative procedures and application deadlines.
The Public Call applies exclusively to the 2026/2027 school year. Funds are secured from the budget of the Municipality of Dugi Rat, ensuring that the allowance is a one-off financial aid granted without repayment. The purpose of these funds is strictly defined and covers the costs of purchasing primary school exercise books and other necessary school supplies.
The right to receive this allowance can only be exercised by households with residence in the area of the Municipality of Dugi Rat. In addition to the residence requirement, the key criterion is that there must be a child regularly enrolled in primary school in the City of Omiš within that household. This geographical link ensures that the aid is directed towards children who are undergoing their education in the neighbouring municipal unit.
Additional conditions for payment include the educational status of the child. Households in which a child is repeating a year cannot claim the allowance. Therefore, regular progression in studies is a prerequisite for meeting all criteria required to obtain financial support for school supplies.
To allow parents more time to prepare documentation, the Municipality of Dugi Rat has decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications. This amendment to the public call is significant as it opens a wider timeframe for processing applications, thereby facilitating the process of claiming rights for all beneficiaries.
