Works to repair and renovate the sports pitch in the Zlatni Potok neighbourhood have officially begun. The City of Dubrovnik is the reporting authority for these interventions, defining the works as part of a broader, continuous programme for the renovation of sports infrastructure across the city.
The technical execution involves a series of detailed interventions aimed at repairing worn-out elements. First, the old, worn rubber surfacing currently covering the base will be removed. This will be followed by thorough surface preparation, including skimming and painting the existing stands, as well as removing unwanted graffiti from visible surfaces.
In addition to the surface and stands, the pitch fencing will also be upgraded. The damaged wire mesh will be replaced with new material, and the load-galvanised substructure will receive a protective coat of paint. The works also include minor locksmith interventions to ensure the functionality and safety of the fence.
A key part of the renovation concerns the sports surface itself. Its renewal is planned, along with new line markings, restoring the standard required for competitive and recreational use. All the aforementioned interventions are carried out as part of a contracted programme for the regular maintenance of sports pitches.
The contractor is Atis d.o.o. Through these repair works, the City of Dubrovnik aims to create safer and more pleasant conditions for all users of the pitch, including children, young people, recreational users, and other citizens who utilise this sports infrastructure.
