A reader from Trogist shared a positive experience following a visit to the local emergency department. The arrival took place during the hot summer days and a period of high patient volume, which further strained the system due to the large number of people seeking help.

The arrival at the emergency department took place in the afternoon, precisely during a non-working day. The reader stated that she did not approach the staff at the counter, but instead assumed that patients were registering and waiting in the reception area in order. At that moment, no patients present had knocked on the office door to attract attention, which resulted in the medical staff inside not hearing the patients as everyone remained silent.

Despite the initial confusion regarding the registration protocol, the reader spent approximately half an hour in the waiting room. Although there were many people in the space, the wait was relatively short. The reader noted that she has had numerous previous negative experiences with other emergency departments, making this experience in Trogis exceptionally positive in comparison to previous encounters with the healthcare system.

Special thanks were given to Dr Nina Vuco and nurse Martina Vesić, both employees of the Trogir emergency service. The reader highlighted their professionalism and approach, which were key to the positive assessment of the entire event, despite the challenging working conditions amid the heat and high patient volume.
