RoboFreak conducted robotics workshops at the Bambi Preschool in Petrijanec throughout the year, and robotics found its place also at the local primary school. The workshops provided students with the opportunity to further explore robotics, as they tested their skills in programming and robot control through practical exercises.
The little robots enthusiasts became familiar with construction elements, built mechanical models, assembled simple electrical circuits, and learned to control robot vehicles. In doing so, they developed logical thinking, spatial awareness, fine motor skills, cooperation, and perseverance.
At the final gathering, the children demonstrated to their parents a portion of what they had learned during the year. They controlled robot vehicles on prepared tracks, completed tasks, and shared their achievements. The parents joined the children in the robot challenges, trying out solutions together and celebrating every success.
The workshops were conducted as part of the project 'Implementation of educational, cultural, and sports activities for preschool children and first to fourth grade students in local communities', with the support of the Ministry of Demography, Family and Youth. The project leader was Ivica Kolarić.
The total value of the project is €121,348.80, of which €97,079.04 in grant funding from the state budget was approved for the Ministry of Demography and Family. All necessary equipment for the workshops was purchased through the project.
